What We Fund

The Foundation gives strong preference to organizations that operate principally in the metropolitan Richmond area and whose services align with one or more of the Foundation’s three funding priorities.


Education

The Foundation supports strategies that have the most influence on students’ long-term educational advancement and career preparation, including:

  • Early childhood education
  • School readiness
  • Expanded learning and enrichment outside of school
  • STEM programs that support teachers and/or students.

Health & Human Services

The Foundation seeks to ensure that basic human needs are met for the most vulnerable citizens, including:

  • Food
  • Shelter
  • Healthcare

Historic Preservation & Cultural Experiences

The Foundation believes in increasing access and participation for all citizens to enjoy a robust arts and culture community, including:

  • Access to natural resources
  • Environmental sustainability through education, preservation and resto­ration
  • Visual and performing arts, museums and other cultural institutions
  • Cultural heritage.
